Comments by Mr Charlie (judge of contest)

Group II : Age 11 -16

First Place : Echo Lu
Wow, what can I say, such a wonderful capture~!! The subject is clear, the verse choice is brilliant , and the capture of the moment is excellent! What I like the most is how your sense of humor shine through both of your picture and your verse choice !! Again, excellent !!
"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:16)

Second Place : Nathaneil Young

Hi ! Nathan, even though I do not know you, your picture gives me an idea of how you may be an all-around kind of person~! I like how the subject of your picture stems up from the bottom left corner to the center of your picture . To me, that's a good approach of composition in photography. You also do good with your choice of scripture !

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." (Psalm 133 :1)

Third Place : Miriam Sun

Hello Miriam ~ You've just missed the second place by tad! I really love the composition of your picture, it's so different from what everybody's dong ! Keep exploring photography, I think you have it going in you ~!!
"Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry..........." James (1:19) (or you'll fall into the pond)

Fourth Place : Vivian Liu
Awwwwww, they are so cute~! I like the idea how you shot your objects directly from the back giving your picture an essence which nobody else have ! (Most people like to shoot the front or the side) The scripture also supports the subject quite well ! Good job !
Fifth Place : Cassandra Hsiao

Finally somebody is giving me some colors ! I can see from yoru pictures how you really enjoy colorful things ~! This is also what makes your picture stands out : Great Contrast ! Next time, try to take this picture from a higher angle, I think you'll like it !

"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose." (Isaiah 35:1)

Group I : Age 4 - 10

First Place : Eric Han

This picture is a brilliant capture. I really like the composition and the contrast (dark against light) of the image, they're truly wonderful. The picture also reflects the verse quite well! Great job~ !!

"Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds." (Genesis 1:24)

Second Place : Jeremy Hsiao

Most of the pictures taken in the park are green, that's what make your picture stands out a lot! Sometimes we say that "closer is better" in photography and it is truly the case here in your capture. One thing I would do if I were to take this picture is to either zoom or stand closer to the bee and really makes it stand out~! But good job regardless ~!!

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spirit fervor, serving the Lord." (Romans !2:11)

Third Place : Jessica Young

Congratulation! You have successfully shown what the verse mean when you take this picture~! The contrast between the grass and the flower really make the flower stands out ~! Next time, try to take the picture closer, you'll get a sense of intimacy form your picture~!
"Yet I tell you that not even Soloman in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." (Matt 6:29)

Fourth Place : Jeremy Hsiao

Wow ~! Good job Jeremy ! You've again wowed me with your colorful capture ! I'm not sure if you're doing it on purpose, but the bokeh in the image is wonderful and really make the leaf pops out !

"He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." (Psalm 1:3)

Fifth Place: Tiffany Han

Isn't God so powerful and so wonderful to make a willow this big ~! I really see in your picture how God is a big God who do big things ! Keep it up Keep telling people how magnificent our God is through your phots ~!!
"I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from ? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth." (Psalms 121 : 1-2)
